We are thrilled to officially announce our collaboration with ALZEA, a trusted and long-standing player in international student mobility. Together, we aim to offer a more human-centered, structured, and enriching internship experience in Indonesia.
🌏 A Shared Vision: Internships as Gateways to the World
Since 2005, ALZEA has supported thousands of students with international internships built on strong values: respect, cultural immersion, and local engagement. Their global network creates deep, personalized, and transformative experiences.

On the other hand, Greenternships, founded in Bali by Maria Bianca — herself a former intern at Green School Bali — helps students find meaningful internship opportunities connected to sustainable, impact-driven projects on the ground.
This collaboration was a natural step — a meeting of two human visions of travel, work, and learning.
🧭 What to Expect as a Future Intern

Choosing Bali is about more than just checking off a dream destination on a map.
It’s a full-on commitment to a professional and human journey that demands as much as it gives.
Here’s what we expect from each applicant:
✔️ Responsibility

To yourself, your university mentors, and your internship supervisors. What you do daily has a real impact on the businesses that welcome you. You’re becoming part of a living project, and your involvement can shape its future.
💼 Most of the time, you’ll be working directly under the founders or core leadership team of these companies. These are small but serious structures where every task matters. You need to arrive with a strong sense of ownership and initiative: you're here to learn — but also to fully own your role.
✔️ Curiousity
Be ready to step outside your comfort zone, both at work and in your personal life.
It’s through exploration and openness that you’ll build a healthy routine, a strong support network, and long-lasting confidence.
✔️ Adaptability
Bali is beautiful — and often disorienting. It’s the unexpected moments that reveal your true potential. We expect positivity, resourcefulness, and openness, even when things feel unfamiliar or challenging.

✔️ Availability
We need you to be available and ready for at least three months.Local businesses don’t have the time or interest in onboarding someone who’s not fully committed or will leave just as they’re getting up to speed. They’re small but serious — and they expect your full energy, attention, and dedication.
✔️ Money
This journey requires planning — and savings. Budget months in advance, and plan wisely to make the most of your time here.
📄 You’ll also need an official Internship Visa to be legally allowed to intern in Indonesia. This comes with administrative, logistical, and consular fees — and should be considered part of your personal investment in this adventure.
A valid scooter license, money for experiences (surfing, museums, mountain trips…), and extra cash to explore Indonesian cuisine beyond just €1 fried rice — these will all help you avoid frustration and truly enjoy the richness of Indonesia.

💡 We’re not looking for perfect interns — we’re looking for people who are mentally and physically ready to dive into something intense, authentic, and full of contrast.
🌺 Are you what Bali is looking for?
Then we’ll be happy to welcome you. This ALZEA x Greenternships partnership is our way of saying: : “We’re not just sending you to Bali — we’re preparing you for it.”
